Helping to lead the iconic revitalization of South Downtown in Atlanta, Ga., April Stammel is Senior Vice President of Marketing & Leasing at NEWPORT RE - global developers and asset managers creating value through socially responsible real estate projects. Stammel is responsible for developing the marketing and leasing strategies, and executing distinct branding, merchandise plans and community engagement approach for the project. Stammel joined Newport in 2017.
A graduate of the University of Florida, April began her career at Sixthman, assisting in the development and production of more than 50 music festivals, leading the company to new business opportunities and expanding its growth over the course of nine years. While achieving her master’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University, she continued on to work at creative agency Sons&Sons and civic engagement advocates, Points of Light, before founding Serve to Rock, a community working to inspire a habit of volunteering and solving challenges for nonprofits in need.
She represents Newport on the Board of the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, actively contributing to the strategic priorities for downtown, on the Board of the Atlanta Preservation Center championing thoughtful preservation work, and has held a board position for the non-profit Plywood People since 2020. Outside of work, April remains passionate about her community, serving as an active East Atlanta Community Association Member, the neighborhood where her and her family live.
