Join us as Tina Cox, Executive Director of Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden in Summerville, Georgia, provides an interesting look at Georgia’s most famous artist. The preacher, the visionary, the artist and the “Holy Grail” of world-reknown art environments in Atlanta’s backyard.
After a successful corporate career with the second largest accounting firm in the world,Tina Cox retired from corporate life and stepped in the world of creativity, fun and passion. After all, she had feverishly collected art for over 20 years and even served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Atlanta’s High Museum of Art and Trustee Board of the Woodruff Art Center.
For the past six years, Tina has served as the Executive Director of Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden Foundation in Summerville, Georgia. She was a personal friend of Reverend Finster for ten years and visited his greatest legacy may times over the years.
The Finster wonderland benefited greatly from the first Executive Director with conservation roots and was ripe for Tina’s business savvy and operational experience. Today, Paradise Garden is thriving and fulfilling its economic development vision through cultural tourism with over 90,000 visitors from 33 countries.
