Melody Harclerode, FAIA applies her nonprofit leadership experience, fundraising acumen, connections, and strategic and communications skills as Blue Heron Nature Preserve Executive Director to boost the impact and appreciation of this exquisite City of Atlanta Park with nature lovers across the region. This picturesque greenspace wows visitors with tranquil beauty and ecological wonder. 

An architect, Atlanta INtown columnist, podcaster, author, and civic leader, Melody was elevated as a 2018 AIA Fellow by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for the local and national impact of her K-12 design education initiatives, design advocacy, and writings. During her career, she has received numerous awards and appointments, recognizing her innovation, commitment to engage underserved communities, and visionary leadership. Melody loves to explore amazing natural and architectural sites around the country with her husband and two children.
