Burke Garrett is a retired Army three-star general who recently swapped the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq for a home near Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park outside of Atlanta. A graduate of the University of North Georgia, he served around the world at the sharp end of American national security for over three decades. His culminating assignment was deputy commander of United States European Command where he provided leadership to address complex security challenges across Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. He now works with public and private sector leaders to help solve their biggest challenges. He also advises a number of nonprofit organizations, including the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program in Atlanta.
Burt Vardeman, one of the oldest and longest serving members of our club passed away last month at 95 years old. His memorial service is this Saturday, Nov. 7th at 2 pm via Zoom. All Kiwanis members are welcome to join his celebration of life!

LEGION OF HONOR 2020 - In 1945, Joe Shaw, a past president of our club, created the Legion of Honor program, which is now International in scope and recognizes individuals who have been part of Kiwanis for at least 25 years. Congratulations to the following individuals who have achieved another year of Legion of Honor: *Symbolizes those that are new or who have added 5 more years to their membership.

The Kiwanis Club of Atlanta needs to find a new office next spring! Our sublease is up in April, so we need to find a new office space. If you, or someone you know, has about 150 - 200 sf of office space that we can use or get for a great price please let us know. Are you having trouble receiving the KCA Bulletins and other email communications? It appears that computer systems/servers who use Symantec are having trouble getting communications from our ClubRunner system delivered to their inboxes. While we work on this issue with ClubRunner, I have an email list serve set up through Outlook to send the bulletins out each week to those who need it.
