USO Block Leaves at Hartsfield Jackson Airport is a grand time when up to 8,000 soldiers and families will come through the airport and enjoy some respite at the USO! It starts on Sunday, December 17 at 1 am and continues for 24 hours! We need help all day, but the busiest time will be 2 am until Noon on Sunday! At 1 am, volunteers will help with the set-up of the tables and filling the goodie bags to be distributed to the first buses of soldiers arriving at 2 a.m. Then for the next 24 hours, volunteers will help with greeting, luggage storage, preparing snacks in the kitchen and other tasks. Volunteers can chose the time and duration, but do email Heidy so she can coordinate with the USO office.
