Pasaquan may be the most unusual and colorful art experience in the state of Georgia. Located near Buena Vista, about a 2 hour drive from Atlanta, it was the creation of St Eom (aka Eddy Owens Martin), a visionary along the lines of Howard Fenster. Starting in 1957, he built numerous lavish structures on this mystical site until his death in 1986. In 2014, Columbus State University with a grant from the Kohler Foundation restored the site to its original colorful appearance.
Following our visit, we will go to nearby Omaha Brewery for a beer and lunch. Omaha has created a St Eom beer in honor of Pasaquan!
