The Carter Center has invited us to attend their Board of Councilors meeting on Friday, June 12 at 8:30 am.The Board of Councilors meets quarterly. At a typical meeting, two of their program directors talk about what their teams in the field are doing to fight disease and promote democracy around the world. CEO Paige Alexander then speaks for a few minutes followed by Carter Center Chair Jason Carter, who answers questions from the audience.Coffee and breakfast are available from 8:00 am. The formal meeting runs from 8:30-9:45. At the beginning of the meeting we will be recognized as a group. The Carter Center has offered a guided tour of the Carter Center after the meeting if you are interested.Please feel free to bring a guest (high school and college age children might be very interested!) -- so long as you give me their names in advance.Please let me know:
