Blake Young, 2017-18 President of the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta, welcomes you to our website and invites you to celebrate our club's Centennial Year!
Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta, now proud to be celebrating its 100th year of serving the diverse needs of the children of Atlanta and the region.
We are first and foremost a highly respected service organization, providing many meaningful opportunities for our members to make a difference in our community.
Our weekly lunch meetings provide opportunities to learn something new about a wide range of subjects focusing on such things as local, national and international issues in business, government, education, health, technology and sports among others.
Kiwanis also provides our members the opportunity through networking to develop professional and personal relationships with fellow leaders in business, government, education, military and not-for-profit organizations.
If you are interested in becoming associated with a dynamic service organization, we would welcome you as our guest at a future meeting. Simply call the Kiwanis office at 404 521-1443, or send an email to KiwanisClubAtlanta@gmail.com and we will look forward to meeting you and telling you more about our Club and the opportunities it has to offer.
For over 40 years, the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta has been associated with the BGCMA in an annual fall event. The 25 clubs each choose a country to study for 12 months. They come to a single location each fall for the Kiwanis Kids Cultural Challenge to demonstrate what they have learned. They create banners and posters, prepare food and costumes, perform song and dance routines, all based on the traditions and customs of their chosen country. They have studied the history, traditions, form of government, geography, climate and so much more about the country. The Kiwanis Club of Atlanta serves as the corp of judges for this event, awarding prize banners for multiple categories.
RSVP to Michael Butkus, mbutkus@mindspring.com. You must have your completed Background Screening on file before the event!
To help celebrate our 100th year of service to the community, Kiwanis Club of Atlanta members will proudly wear their new Name Badges starting October 1, 2017! All members are encouraged to take home their previous name badges as a remembrance of their years of service. All old badges not claimed after Oct. 31, 2017 will be discarded. If you can't attend a meeting during the month of November, and you would like to keep you name badge, please contact KiwanisClubAtlanta@gmail.com to make arrangements.
You've heard the buzz ... Kiwanis Club of Atlanta turns 100 next year! We will be celebrating all during our 2017-18 club year, which kicks off October 3rd. At various meetings you will learn a bit about our club's history and the incredible service we do for the community. And we will be raising money for our centennial project - a Garden and Pavilion for Hillside - so those extra dollars you contribute will be paying it forward for the next 100 years!
A highlight this coming year will be the Centennial Gala, April 24th, 2018 at the Atlanta History Center. Mark your calendars now for this incredible event that you will not want to miss and watch your emails and the Atlanta Bulletin for more information during the next few months!

Do you want to let the members of our club know more about you and your business? Do you want to network and cultivate more business contacts? If you answered yes, then you need to sign up to do a "Member Spotlight" at one of our club meetings!
Spotlights are done every 2nd and 4th Tuesday luncheon meeting (and the occasional 5th) each month. You have two minutes to showcase your business and tell the other members how you can benefit them! To get on the schedule, just email Karen at KiwanisClubAtlanta@gmail.com.
Don't get the BOOT! Be sure your car has a Kiwanis Club of Atlanta car decal properly displayed on your vehicle.
The security company contracted by Lanier Parking will be booting all cars that are parked in the reserved parking places and that do not have a valid decal on their car identifying them as attending the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta luncheon. So if you arrive prior to 11:45 am on Tuesday, please make sure you have a parking decal on your car. You can get a decal from Karen at the luncheon meeting, and then place it on the right back window (passenger side) from inside your car. They are static cling, so easy to put on and take off!
