Maria Saporta is the founder and publisher of SaportaReport. She is a longtime Atlanta business, civic and urban affairs journalistwith a deep knowledge of our city, our region, and state. She is a co-founder of Atlanta Civic Circle. Maria previously wrote a weekly column and news stories for the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Prior to that, she spent 27 years with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, becoming its business columnist in 1991. Maria received her Master’s degree in urban studies from Georgia State and her Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University. Maria was born in Atlanta to European parents and has two young adult children.
Bill Bolling served as executive director of the Atlanta Community Food Bank since founding the organization in 1979 until June 2015. Bill was instrumental in the start-up of food banks across the country. Prior to the Atlanta Community Food Bank, he served as director of community ministries for St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta. He is a frequent speaker on topics related to hunger, poverty, regionalism, affordable housing, and public policy reform. His skills in bridging various public sectors have made him a leader in strengthening the community to serve those most in need. Bill is the co-founder and board chair for Atlanta Civic Circle.
Saba Long is the executive director of Atlanta Civic Circle, a nonprofit dedicated to informing the public on the most critical issues facing metro Atlanta by providing in-depth reporting and presenting possible solutions with opportunities for civic engagement online and in the community. With more than 15 years of experience, she has provided communications expertise to numerous political campaigns and ballot initiatives, counseled tech startups, and served as a liaison for a White House advisory panel on infrastructure and cybersecurity.
