The big takeaway from the convention last week in Indianapolis was “together again.” President-Elect Karen (KC), Vice President Thornton and our Executive Director Karen (K-Lo) had an awesome time meeting fellow Kiwanians from around the world and learning how to strengthen your club.
Bert West, Rocky Mountain District, will be president and Katrina Baranko, Georgia District (!), will be President-elect. These are succession positions from prior years. The delegates elected Le Kuan Yong, Malaysia District, Vice President and elected trustees Steven Ingram, Indiana District; Gary Jander, California/Nevada/Hawaii Distric and Jackie Sue McFarlin, Pacific Northwest District. A lot of amendments were passed, but mainly they were housekeeping items.
All in all, it was a successful convention, and your representatives are energized to strength our club!
