Philanthropy in the Classroom Volunteers Needed!

Plans are moving forward for Philanthropy in the Classroom 2019. This is a partnership between the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Atlanta Chapter.  Volunteers read to classes of elementary-school students, share their experiences about what philanthropy is and why it matters, and facilitate an art project which is displayed at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon (November 7, 2019).

National Philanthropy Day
National Philanthropy Day 2019 is Thursday, November 7th and the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta is proud to be the Philanthropy in the Classroom Presenting Sponsor!
Parking Changes Have Increased for the Loudermilk Parking Garage
Parking Cost Increase:  Beginning October 1, Parking will increase for both those with parking cards and those that do daily tickets.  Parking Cards will cost $38 per quarter and parking tickets will be $4 per luncheon visit.
Member Networking - Have a Spotlight Shine on You!
Do you want to let the members of our club know more about you and your business?  Do you want to network and cultivate more business contacts?  If you answered yes, then you need to sign up to do a "Member Spotlight" at one of our club meetings!
We Need YOU to be a part of the "Lunch Bunch"!
Our club is looking for folks who are willing to become part of the "Lunch Bunch" team!  Team members will help the lunch meetings operate smoothly by working the a/v board and sounds system in the back, ensuring that any a/v the speakers use are properly set up, and working the microphones during the Q&A sessions!
While no technical experience is necessary, volunteers should feel comfortable and confident adjusting sound levels and setting up the computer for power point and video presentations.  And the benefit is a dedicated comfy seat at the a/v table during lunch!  wink
