Pavle Zelic, Master of Science in Pharmacy, Serbia’s public health official, certified diplomat, international health expert and lecturer, accomplished writer/scriptwriter and a Hubert Humphrey Fellow for 2021/22 at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
After completing master studies on the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade he was headhunted by Big Pharma where he had a rising career for three years. Pavle then took a very demanding position of manager for International Cooperation, European Integrations and Public Relations at the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Serbia (“Serbian FDA”) which he holds for 14 years now. In his continuous educations in many fields, stands out the prestigious Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, where he became best student/valedictorian for the generation 2010/11.
Pavle initiated, negotiating and put into practice many agreements with regulatory authorities worldwide. He is Serbia’s representative but also an expert and elected official in the WHO, many European Union bodies and the Council of Europe on topics like public health communications, counterfeit medicinal products, pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical practices.
Pavle managed and is managing many various-scale (inter)national projects and he organized major professional events in Serbia and abroad. Very prominent in media, his potential was full shown during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of national crisis team, with several thousand reports to his name. He is a lecturer in several faculties in Serbia, and often speaks and presents on international meetings and conferences as well. He has authored three fiction books, two graphic novels, and edited many more, wrote several movie scripts, and has additional careers in journalism and auctioneering too.
